After several requests to run an exclusive small group trip to South Africa, we have finally organised a 6 pilot tour based out of Porterville. Similar to our recent trips to South Africa, we are basing ourselves in one location to minimise travel and maximise XC potential. However to ensure returning pilots experience something fresh, in 2024 we are aiming to explore different launches and new XC tasks, so this familiar location can offer up new challenges.
This trip is aimed at experienced XC pilots, as there is no coastal warm up. Pilots must be comfortable in thermic air and have prior experience of XC flying.The idea will be to each day set tasks based on the conditions, in order to maximise the chance of achieving PB's and memorable flights.
This year we have opted to reserve accommodation at Koppikofi centrally located in Porterville and with an excellent restaurant attached. Price is based on two sharing but a single room can be organaised on request for an additional fee of £195.

What to bring
- Glider in fully serviceable condition
- Suitable reserve parachute system that has been checked and repacked within the last 12 months.
- 2M Radio able to receive and transmit from 142.100 up to 146.400
- Towel
- Sunhat / sunscreen
